The Academy of Special Dreams Foundation will honor a distinguished Latino leader, Fernando De Necochea, who has worked to foster a more inclusive society and better the Latino community in the greater Los Angeles area Saturday, Oct. 20.
Leading the team is the Association’s President Helen Marston, an eight-year real estate veteran based in Southern California.
“The City Council has been extremely impressed with Ms. Binnquist’s ability to step into the Interim City Manager role during a time of fast-paced change,” said Mayor Stephen Sham.

The Academy of Special Dreams recognized Alhambra artist and Academy board member Todd Tostado with the Academy Life Achievement Award.
A fundraising event for the Academy of Special Dreams will take place Thursday, Sept. 15. The Academy provides financial support and public awareness to artists in the special needs community.
The Academy of Special Dreams recently provided two small grant awards for artists with disabilities at two special educational transition programs in the San Gabriel Valley area: LIFT North and LIFT South.
