CEMALA, Classical European Music Academy Los Angeles, performed at the White House in Washington, D.C., for the second time on Dec. 20. The Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Magdolna Berezvai, was featured and performed works by Vivaldi and Telemann.

“The White House has witnessed some talent, and the young ‘CEMALINOS’ surely played with their maximum effort at such a young age to represent the San Gabriel Valley,” said Ms. Berezvai.

CEMALA is recognized as one of the most unique children's orchestras and is composed of young prodigy talent.

“By receiving the privilege to play at the White House, these young students showed their talent at a very young age at a very high level,” said Ms. Berezvai.

The invitation to the White House inspired all of the CEMALA members. Children between ages 6 and 13 performed.

The children were also invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York last summer.

“The CEMALA orchestra’s skills through local, national, and international concerts demonstrate to the world what children can achieve at a young age,” said Ms. Berezvai. “All 20-22 players are dressed in black tails or full-skirted tea gowns, with colorful silk sashes for the occasion. Audiences are amazed to hear their sophisticated repertoire, played with full bows and vibrato.”

CEMALA is preparing for the next performance, which will be at Disneyland.
